Trash Collection Moving from Alleys to Streets

After much consideration, the Board of Trustees voted to approve moving trash and recycling collection from residents' alleys to the street beginning May 20, 2022. Superintendent Remick reported to the board that the alleys have suffered the consequences of heavy truck usage for the refuse route. The alleys were not created to be a sustainable avenue for such weight and motion, the result is damaged culverts, potholes, and soil erosion. While this transition may be difficult for some, the intent is to provide better service for all of our residents and to be able to better maintain our infrastructure. Please note that Reliable Sanitation will be placing your trash and recycling receptacles in the location where they would prefer you place them for collection on Fridays.
